Wow I guess it's been a while since I have updated this blog. Albert is on the other computer so you aren't getting pictures today but check back soon because I hope to get them on here tomorrow.
Well let's start with Sarah. Sarah started school on Monday. She of course loves it. She was ready to go back. She switches classes this year (this is her second year for that). She has three teachers math, reading and language development, and science. Then of course her enrichment teachers library, art, music, and P.E. She is getting so big. She is growing up so very fast. She is quickly turning into a little lady. She just loves to help out with Andrew(except for the diapers which Albert does). Then we do girl scouts also. She loves girl scouts. I also enjoy being their leader. It gets her involved with something because she says she'd rather not play sports. Which I can understand because I didn't want to play sports either so I am not going to make her.
Ok on to Albert. He starts school tomorrow (Friday). He got to meet his teacher on Monday. He says he liked her. He just can't wait to go back to school. He is so bored. I can't beleive he'll be in kindergarten. My kids are growing up way to fast. We are working on learning to tie his shoes and write his name. He can write his name it's just really messy still and sometimes you can't tell what the letters are. The shoe tying thing isn't going as well. He doesn't want to do it. He says he doesn't need to because his new shoes for school are the velcro kind. So he feels he has only one pair that need tied so he just won't wear those ones. He is reluctant to try things that are hard for him. Like his flash cards with letters. He does ok until he gets to one he doesn't know (which is like the second or third one) then he starts misbehaving and doing all kinds of things to not have to face trying to figure it out. He has problems with facing things that are to tough for him he tends to act up and avoid those things at all costs. I am working with him but it's been a long journey.
That brings us to me. I have been trying very hard to keep my patience with Albert. I am learning day by day what works with him and what doesn't. With discipline time out and spanking him doesn't work. He just doesn't care. I tried to take his toys away and things got worse. I try to figure why he's acting the way he is and address that problem rather than his bad behaviour. For the most part this technique is working. I tell him what's he's doing is wrong and then show him how to properly deal with the situation. Anyway it's been a long journey but we are getting there. He is so much different than Sarah was at that age. It's an ever changing, learning experience. Then I am a girl scout leader. That keeps be pretty busy lately. We are planning quite a few things here within the next two monthes. We are going to be girl scout busy.
Well then that's brings us to Andrew. He rolled over from tummy to back for the first time the other day. It was completely unexpected but he did. He doesn't care for tummy time so i am not surprised really. He'd rather be on his back so he can see things. He is quite the nosy little man. He has also started to reach and grab things. He still misses quite a bit but he grabs at everything including my glasses. It might be time to start wearing contacts again. He is getting big rather quickly. He wears 6-9 month clothes already. Yeah hard to beleive since he's only 4 monthes. He is really long for his age. He just might be a tall boy when he's done growing. I guess none of our kids are going to be short. All three are pretty tall for their age.
Ok then last but not least Albert. Well there's not much to tell about him really. He works everyday and it's hot over there. that's about all I get out him. He did tell me the other day he was going to play vollyball. He sent some pictures. Those I will post on here today because I have them on this computer.
I guess that's it for updates. It's a long one I know. I will try to update more frequently. Now that the kids are in school I will have a little more time.
