Playing

We were going to go to the pool but just as I was packing the bag it began to rain. So we compromised and played in the rain. Little Albert and I were the only two who would go out and play much though. The other two complained "It's to cold." Oh well we had fun.
Daddy is playing fetch with Thomas (the dog) and Albert. Thomas usually got the bonebut albert stole it from Thomas once or twice. I am not sure who enjoyed that more Thomas, Albert or me. That was pretty funny. Sarah and I sat on the couch and watched. Then Daddy had us all on the floor from tickling us. Being that we are all ticklish and he's not.
We have been very busy with trying to get this house cleaned up. We just haven't had many times to play with the kids much lately. I try more lately to make time for them. I know they are much more important than any work I have to get done. Time keeps moving whether I want it to or not. There are so many things I want to get done in one day but not enough hours. I get done as much as I can each day and the rest can wait until tommorrow. Sarah has been out of school for just a few days and already she is bored. I do things with her a few times a day but she gets bored easy. She is so use to doing something all the time at school. She has more than 20 minutes of free time and she is saying to me that she wants to do somethig. We have done all kinds of things. Like playing with playdough and painting. We have had a few craft things. Albert is really happy to have her home all day. He gets tired of playing with only mommy. Mommy is fun but sister is much better. Those two are funny to watch play together. They fight and argue and are mad at each other. Then about 1 minute later they are giving each other a hug. It is amazing to see them together. I like to watch them play sometimes. I have a brother and a sister but they are 7 and 8 years older than me so I really never had the kinds of interactions with them that me kids do. It is quite funny to watch sometimes. The imagination of children can be so amazing. I often wonder how do they come up with such things.

Congratulations Sarah!!!

Sarah's last day of school celebrations were Friday. Her actual last day is tomorrow(Monday). They had a very nice celebration of the flag thing. They told little United States facts and sang songs. Then they had an awards ceremony. Sarah got a bunch of different ones. She got a trophy for having straight A's this year. She got another one for straight A's this marking period. She got one for perfect attendence. She wrote and illustrated four different books this year that she got awards for. I think that's it. Above are a few pictures we took of her. The announced the awards and recipents in the audtorium but she didn't actually get the award until we got back to her class room. The first picture is in the auditorium. Then the other two is in her classroom. She is quite the amazing little girl. She just loves school. She absolutely loves to read. She reads everyday and most of the time I have to say something to her to stop reading and do other things. Well lately she has been writing stories. That is something she just started to enjoy doing. She is pretty good too. She writes complete stories not just fragments. That is one thing the worked on this year in school. She has greatly improved her writing skills this year. She enjoys learning and doing school stuff. She is quite the smart little cookie. It is hard to beleive that my baby girl is done with first grade already.

Father's Day

Father's Day this year for us was not a real big deal. Albert worked on Sunday so we celebrated on Saturday. The kids made pancakes and sausages for Daddy for breakfast. In this pictures Sarah is holding the plate and it is Albert's turn to take the pancakes off the griddle. The had so much fun cooking. They did a real good job too. The pancakes turned out well. I didn't even let the sausages burn this. I usually do burn them though. We didn't really do much other than that though.

You see that blue color in the picture. I have come to the conclusion that that color was the previous owners favorite. That color is in EVERY room of the house in some form or other. The trim through the entire house is light blue. Don't get me wrong I like light blue one of my favorite colors but WAY TOO MUCH in this house. The outside of the house is even partially light blue. Our house is combination brick (which is a tan color) and siding (which is light blue). We also have a workshop that is you guessed it light blue. Then we have a shed. I am not telling you what color that is but I am sure you can guess. The carpets are even all blue. They also liked teddy bears. I have found several teddy bear things left behind. All in all we have a nice house but it just needs a ton of TLC. We are enjoying being home owners but it just is way more expensive than we anticipated. So far we are making it without me working. I hope not to have to go back to work until albert gets in to school. But only time will tell if I will wait that long or not. Wow guess I had a lot to say. Well until next time. Y'all take care now ya hear. (hehe trying to be southern)

Happy Birthday Albert

Today was Albert's 3rd Birthday! We took him to Chuck E Cheese. He would have rather gone to the pool but it was closed today because of the rain. Albert picked out table and sat for about 15 seconds then he wanted to go play games. We did get him to sit long enough to divide the tokens between the two Alberts and Sarah. (I never get any *sniff sniff* no that's ok really I play with the kids). So anyway I went off with the kids and Albert went off playing his games. This first picture is of the kids momentary sitting at the table waiting for their tokens.

This picture is so cute. Albert just loves Barney.

This is one of those roller coaster ride things. The kids squealed and stuff just like a real roller coaster. It was kind of funny.

This game Albert just loved at the top it has a big bird that drops balls into the slots. He did really well actully. I tried it once but he did better than I did.

When we were singing Happy Birthday to him he was shushing us. I guess he didn't like our singing.

We decided to get Albert a cookie cake from mrs. fields instead of a regular cake. He blew out his canbles all by hisself for the first time. It took him a few tries but he got them all.

Sarah got him a radio controled car and we got him the chair. We got him a few other small things. He loves the car. He wanted one of his own ever since Daddy got one for christmas.

Albert giving Sarah a hug for the present she got him.

some funny pictures.

This is the next superman in training. He loves that cape. He sleeps with it sometimes.
Albert took several photos of his feet at various different angles. These are two of them.
This is Sarah showing me her toothless smile. She didn't want to but she did.
This is the infamous 'mommy you are so silly' look. I get this look in varying stages of agitation many times a day.
This has been a long week. Albert has been moved to day shift from night shift. He had been working 5pm until 2am. He now works just opposite that. So he starts at 5 am and works until 2 pm. He seems to really like his job. He has been told different times by umm huh I don't know what she is to him commander maybe. Anyway Msgt Lambert has told him different times that she is proud of him and what he has done. She has given him all kinds of extra duties and stuff so she must trust him. I am just glad that he is finally happy with what he is doing. This is what he has wanted to do for as long as I have known him and longer I am sure.

Hot Summer day!

Today is was about 92 degrees outside. Thanks to the previous owner we have this wonderful sprinkler. The kids love it. It was very hot for us. In the words of Albert 'too too hot outside'. So I got the sprinkler out and let the kids cool off. We have gone to the pool on base. The kids also loved that. We finally got Sarah to go in the big pool with a life jacket on and let go of an adult. She was pretty scared but she kept trying until she was comfortable enough to let go and she did it. Albert isn't that brave yet. He was to cold really. He wanted out and to play in the little pool which was much warmer.

Albert was watching Daddy shave and decided he needed to shave also. So Daddy helped him shave his checks(that is how he says it or he says chicks). He was quite proud to smell like daddy all evening then he would come up to me and start making sniff sniff sounds.

Sarah was supose to be reading her book for school. She was in room to read because there was a lot going on in the rest of the house. So she went in her room to read where it was quieter. This is what I caught her doing. She normally doesn't give up a chance to read but this time she was caught. I guess she can't be perfect all the time.

Sarah school /Albert sick

Sarah is still in school. Her last day is the 25th of June. Her school is considered a year round school. She goes from mid Aug. until the end of June each year. She has a short summer break. That's the bad part. The good part is that she has a few breaks through the year that other kids don't. So far I kind of like the schedule of the school year this way. Then this way we can travel and vacation through out the school year when airports and roads are going to be way less busy.

For those of you that knew Albert 5th was sick he is better now. I am not sure what happened with him. He got diarhea real bad and vomiting some. No one else got sick so I think it was something he ate. I know he can't have orange juice but so far that's all I know. I have no idea what made him sick this time. But he is much better now.

Creatures

These two pictures are of a few creatures that live in our backyard. The lizard is um just a lizard for all I know. That is a baby cardinal. Mommy, Daddy and baby bird have now moved on. We now have a robin nest in the yard. We did have termites they were taken care and the fire ants are gone. We are slowly convincing the wild life out of our yard. We did have a snake I shooed him to the neighbors yard I think. The kids like to play with the lizards. Albert (little)has caught one. Well both alberts have but I was surprised to see little albert caught one.
