Albert and Thomas

Last week Albert took Thomas to get 'fixed'. Then Albert was going golfing. I just had to take some pictures.
Thomas sitting patiently in the car waiting for Albert to come back. Albert put the dog in the van then realized he forgot his wallet. Thomas was sitting in the seat looked like he was driving. Figures when I grab the camera he sits still like a good boy. Always proving that Mommy doesn't know what she is talking about.
Bye Bye Thomas and Daddy. Last picture of Thomas before he goes to get neutered. Poor dog, but I don't want any little Thomases.
I saw the shirt Albert is wearing at Walmart and I just had to get it for him. This shirt fits him so well. Albert is the king of sarcasm. I hope you can read his shirt if not it says "Sarcasm is just another free service I offer."
I guess it has been a while since my last post. I didn't realize how long it has been. Sarah got her report she of course did extremely well. She got all A's. Her math grade went down two percentage points. I actually I am pleased with that because I expected her to get a B. She has been struggling to memorize her math facts. Her math is all messed because when we were in Alaska they were teaching her touch math and her she has to memorize. Touch math is each number has dots and circles and you touch the number and add or subtract rather than use your fingers and that is what they concentrated on there and when she got here they were well under way on memorizing their facts. So she is behind and just can't get caught up. We are working on it and she is doing rather well I think. She is getting there but math is proving to be her subject that she has trouble with. Not like her mother at all. I was always good at math and had trouble with english not Sarah just the opposite for her. I am terrible at using commas and things of that sort. I guess we all have our good subjects and subjects that aren't so good.

Climbing the tree

Yes that's me in the background biting my lip. I was a bit nervous about him being in the tree. I didn't think he would be able to get up the tree but up he went. He wanted to keep going but I didn't think that would be a good idea.

Yeah he climbed the tree with garden gloves on. Sarah and I have garden gloves that we wear and these ones are Sarah's old ones. So he decided that they should be his.

Crazy Kids

I was doing up the dishes and I realized that the kids were being very quiet. So I decided to see what they were doing. This is what I found. Sarah was reading to Albert. How cute. She is such a little mommy type.
When we got the cat she needed a place to stay away from the other animlas until we got her to the vet to make sure she was healthy. I put her in the craft room where we usually put the dog at night. So we got out the crate thing we used when we were 'potty training' the dog. Albert was playing puppy. yes he is mostly naked. He doesn't like to wear clothes. He does have underwear on.

New family member and Sarah's outing.

IT'S AGIRL!
This is the newest member of our little family. We named her Emily Elizabeth. She is named after Thomas the train and friends not the girl from Clifford. Emily is the girl train and there is a truck I think she is named Elizabeth. Plus Sarah said she needed that middle name so she would match the rest of the girls in the family. When we first picked her out they told us she was a girl. So we chose the name James. Albert still calls her James once in a while. Anyway I thought for sure Thomas would try to eat her but that's not what happened. He just wants to play with her but she doesn't want anything to do him. I think Thomas is actually a bit scared of her. He doesn't get to close.
Sarah could not be more happy. She has been asking for a cat for years. She has been asking for a cat since we had to get rid of the one we did have when we were in Deleware. She has been taking very good care of Emily. I showed her how to clean the litter box. I didn't tell her she had to clean or anything I just showed her how. Well I only cleaned it once so far when I showed Sarah how. She goes a couple times a day and cleans it out. I know that probably won't last but for now I haven't had to ask her to do anything for Emily I haven't had to do anything for Emily. Sarah does it all. She is one happy little girl. She keeps telling me "I just love Emily and I think she loves me too because she is always purring and giving me kisses."

Sarah went to a birthday party outting thing this past Monday. They are out of school this week for intersession. So they went to the board walk for a girls day out. First we went to build a bear workshop. They each made a bear. Sarah really wanted to get an outfit but they were only getting the bear. I didn't want to make the other kids feel bad by getting Sarah out fit and not the rest of them. So we skipped the outfit.
Then they went to have their nails painted. They each to pick their own color. That's Emma the birthday girl and Sarah sitting at the nail dryer.
Then we all went out to eat at Joe's crab shack. This is all the girls waiting for their food to come. Sarah had a really good time. She doesn't normally get to go out do things with kids out side of school. Mommy had a good time too I went somewhere with just Sarah. It was nice to go and do something with her and not have Albert. I think Sarah enjoyed being with her friends but also the Mommy time too.

The Lippizzaner Stallions

I think I mentioned before but I will say again just in case. Albert got us tickets to see a show as part of our christmas present. We went to see the Lippizzaner Stallions. We had front row seats. Yep right up front no one in front of us. We were so close we could smell them.
I am not even going to try to remember what all these pictures were of exactly. We didn't actually get many pictures because I forgot to bring extra batteries and the camera went dead. This is the opening that man Troy I think is his name sang two songs. He sang America the beautiful I beleive and the National Anthem.
The next two pictures are of two people 'dancing' to a classical song. They were moving around in mirror image kind of thing. It was pretty neat.

Same kind of thing but with three people. This was the end of his dance. The horse or hersy as Albert says is taking a bow.
We saw them stand up and they did some jumps and it was really neat but of course I didn't get pictures of that because my camera went dead. But we had a good time. Sarah really enjoyed it but it was a little to long for little Albert.

Christmas with Daddy

Christmas in February. Today we finally had our christmas. It was a very nice morning. It was really nice because we were all here to have our christmas together. We have quite a weekend planned. This morning is Christmas. Then this evening there is a Mardi Gras parade. Then tomorrow Albert got us tickets to go see umm..... what are they called Tippizzini Stallions I think. So we are going to be busy this weekend. It sure is nice to Albert home again.

I tried to get the kids first impression of christmas morning on video but they had already seen the tree before I had the camera ready. I told them to close their eyes but they peeked and saw already anyway. I missed all the good reactions. It is kind dark because I am not sure it was even seven yet.

This is before the kids got up.
This is Sarah being quite patient waiting for everyone to get up.
Albert was the last to wake up.
Mommy woke up Daddy with this picture.
The kids inspected things before digging in.
Albert opening his gift from Sarah. She got him a Diego rescue pack
Albert got Sarah a barbie pool and two barbies.
Sarah's new froggie pj's.

Albert took his little time opening up these trains.Markers for the easel that Santa got them.
Santa gave Sarah a tea set. That's what's in the yellow box. That is a really big George. Albert loves his new giraffe. It is so big he can sit on it.
Daddy got a new hat and he is opening a movie. Well it's a tv show it's the new smallville season.
Umm.... must be interesting.
Mommy got a box of coffee stuff from Alaska wildberry.

Albert and his train.

This is the scene after the kids have been through the living room. Both kids are in the picture if you look hard enough you can them both.
We got the kids this play tent. It is much bigger than I thought it would be.

Albert sitting in the tent playing with his rescue pack.
Peek a boo Sarah.
