A little of this and some of that

Well it seems that I am not keeping this up to date very well lately. I guess more or less there is not much to tell. Life has been moving along pretty normal really. Sarah goes to school Daddy goes to work and Albert and I stay home with the dog and cat. The dog and cat are getting along quite well actually. Thomas still chases Emily but they play and pick on each other. I think Thomas is afraid of Emily actually. She scratched his nose pretty good and since he doesn't get to close. Anyway, this first picture is of Sarah and the class bear Bowie. Sarah got to bring him home for the weekend. She played doctor with him. I thought this was a really good picture of her so I had to share.
These next few pictures are of the chopping up of our tree. Yep we finally cut down the termite tree. The termites are gone and inside Albert find tons of fire ants. How wonderful right? We get rid of one and get another. But the tree is gone and Albert put some stuff to kill the ants. They are mostly gone. We just now have a stump in the middle of our patio. I guess one obstacle at a time. I told Albert our yard is getting worse instead of better and he keeps telling it's called 'under construction'. I suppose I am just impatient and want our yard and house to look better now and not later. Some day we will have this place looking better. Anyway Daddy's turn was first. He used a sledge hammer and one of those metal things that kind of look like an ax head. Albert calls a splitter thing.
Then is was Albert's turn to try. He couldn't lift the 'big daddy hammer'. So he used an Albert sized one. He almost hit himself in the head a few times with that hammer.
Then it was Sarah's turn to try. She also used the little hammer. Daddy was the only one to be able to effectively use that sledge hammer. Yeah Mommy tried and failed too. I got it up over my head and swung even but I kept missing.
So now I have a mess of saw dust and bits of bark and wood all over the place back there. But I am rid of the termite tree. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well next we have what looks like Buzz lightyear but look closely and you will see it is none other than Albert. HEHE. He was saying what Buzz says on the Toy Story movie. I have no clue now what is was though. Some thing ending in and beyond. I can't remember the first part though.

So here is my newest blog entry. Quite late but here it is none the less. Easter is closing in very fast and I am not ready. I forgot to boil the eggs for tomorrow. The Easter bunny needs to get something for in the plastic eggs. We do have basket stuff though. So we are under way but have a ways to go yet. I will take pictures maybe a video and post them on here. I can't when though. I am slow sometimes at getting around to posting things. SPRING IS HERE. Yep it is here and under way. The leaves are starting to come out on the trees. Our yard is coming back to life. We have had to mow twice in the front and three times in the back. I planted pansies in the front flower bed. I have a million little morning glories coming up to grow in the fence but Albert doesn't want me to let those grow because the lizards like to take up residence in them along with the bees. So I am pulling them all. Well not all of them some I have transplanted in a pot and I hope to have them grow on a wire thing in the pot. We will see how that goes. Guess that's about all I have to say for now. Until next time Give some one a smile today!

Anniversary

Yesterday was Albert and I's 8th Anniversary. It will be 10 years this August that we have been together. In some ways I can hardly believe it but then other ways it seems like forever. We have been through quite a bit of stuff since then. We finished our Associates degrees. Albert has joined the Air Force and gone on 3 (I think) deployments. We have lived in Delaware, Alaska and now Louisiana. We went from just three of us to four plus a couple pets. Our family is bigger and love is stronger. Some things have changed for the better like Albert's hair. I hated his like it was in the picture below. Some things have changed for the not so much better like we live farther from home than we would like. But most importantly we have through everything together. It seems like I have known Albert forever. I can hardly remember what life was like with out him. Eight years of marriage down and hopefully many many more to come. Below is our wedding picture. That little tiny thing is Sarah. It is hard to believe she was that small. She was 2 months and 5 days old in that picture on March 11, 2000.

Ramblings and my crocked smile

Well I wish I could say I something wonderful to report but I don't really. Well wait I do after one year of working on it I finally finished painting my bedroom closet. I didn't do it in all at once I did it section by section because there was so much to paint and so many little things. Anyway I AM DONE!!! Besides that there isn't much happening here really. It is spring time we are working on the back yard. The tree that the termites ate the middle out of is finally down. Albert chopped it down yesterday. Now I have to go out there and clean up all that saw dust from all over the patio. Then our next project is going to be relaying the patio. It is just regular bricks laid on the ground. The tree roots and stuff have grown and it is extremely unlevel. So we are going to relay it. While we are relaying we are going to lay brick up to the house and get rid of the floor beds and fill in the hole where the tree was. We just need to figure out how to get the stump out of there.

The kids are well and busy as ever. Sarah is doing well in school. She continues to improve on her math. Albert well he has a long way to go before he is ready to start school. I have been working with him but with him everything takes a long time. Well actually probably not longer than normal kids but he is following Sarah so for me it seems he learns really slow. I sometimes have to stop and remind myself he is not like Sarah. She learns thing really fast. He is doing well though. He finally sat and played games with me correctly. Two games in a row actually. We played Hi-HO Cherrio and then Candyland. He knows how to count to 12. He doesn't always start at one but he can. He can say the alphabet with a little help. Of course he doesn't say letters really yet they are just sounds to him still but we are getting there. His colors are what has me the most ummm what's the word oh I don't know frustrated maybe. I have been working with him off and on for monthes with his colors and he isn't getting it. He knows the names like when I ask what color something he keeps guessing until he gets it. He does know yellow. Some days he gets them all most days he only knows yellow and usually purple. I am convinced he is going to continue to be left handed. He can and does use both hands but he favors his left.

Well I guess I had a lot more to say than I first thought. Oh yeah I got my first tooth fillings um last week I guess. Albert was picking on me because of my crocked smile. So here is that picture.
