ready for church

Here are a few pictures I took. I was trying to be the fantastic photographer. I think I did ok but professional pictures would have turned out better. I supose it would help if the bugs would quit eating my morning glories all up. Oh well I have beautiful children and that is what matters most in the pictures. We were ready to go to church and we had some time (which hardly ever happens I am usually late). So I decided to take some new pictures of them. I know just need to figure out how to print them. I can email the pictures to you if you would to have them to print. I don't know if you can copy them from here. Anyway I am not the most wonderful camera person but it isn't to hard with kids like those. They are very precious.

God is good!

This is a magnificent sunset in Louisiana. By the time I got the camera it was almost gone but I got the last bit of it on camera anyway. God creates some wonderful things. He creates some things I could do without such as snakes but who can complain with all the blessings HE has given our family. You know our family is truelly blessed. We have come through many ups and downs in our journey but I always know he takes care of us. Right now I have plenty to complain about but I choose to praise him instead. We are not rich and we definitly don't live in the most wonderful place. BUT we are all healthy and happy and we are together. Albert is being sent to umm well can't say where but not a place to be worried about though. All in all life is good and we are blessed. I know some days I get really down about not having much money but I know we will be ok. We have the most important things food, home, and family. I was reading pieces from a book online last night. The man was an extreme introvert and he craved being 'alone'. (I would go into more detail about the 'alone' but I would be able to write a novel.) His marriage finally failed because of money. She was in search of wealth and the big house with the pool and fancy car in the drive way. You know the thing some people long for. The man on the other hand was happy with his job and current home and car. Anyway in the end they couldn't find a meeting place and went their separate ways. I think with money it is never how much you have it is what you do with what you have. What is more important the big fancy house and car envy of the neighborhood or being with your family and friends? If you have faith God will always find a way to provide you with what you need and sometimes reward you with your wants. Anyway I supose that's my food for thought for today. It has been on my mind for sometime just thought I would share my thoughts with you all.

Albert's Deployment

Sorry everyone no picture this time. I do have news about Albert's upcoming deployment. I don't know if I am allowed to tell where he is going so I won't tell you that but it is not Iraq. THANK YOU GOD!!! He is however being sent somewhere and he leaves in September now. He had been scheduled to leave in August but they are moving things around because of something I didn't understand when albert told me. He said something about broken rotations and not enough people and whatever. So anyway He leaves a month later but he doesn't come back now until possibly March. So that stinks yes it does. He will be gone for about 6 monthes instead of the four he was supose to be gone. Well at least it is only 6 monthes and not the 16 that the army is being sent for. And not to Iraq (Praise God he does answer prayers!!) I will update you all as I get the info from him. I have a mailing address for where he is going and I will post that as soon as he tells me I can. Keep praying that God's will be done and that he accomplishes what is needed from this war. I have faith in him that he will protect our family(the kids and I here and Albert there) while Albert is away.

Playing outside!!

Albert and Sarah ready to race.
Sarah drawing a rainbow.
Albert being speedy gonzalez. (or however you spell that)
OUR FEET!!!
So we have big feet it runs in the family.

There isn't really much new happening here to report on. We have been doing the same things really. We did get to go to the pool for a while yesterday. The kids love to go when we can. Sarah is getting anxious for school to start soon. She is getting tired of playing with her brother. She is yearning for kids her own age to play with. I do feel bad for her. I know neither one of the kids have other kids to play with really. There is not many kids around and what kids there are don't come outside to play often and if they do they stay in the back yards. So there isn't much chance to meet them really. That is the one bad thing about living off base. There is a definite lack of neighbor hood bonding (not sure what else to call it). When we were on base everyone went outside and stood around and chatted and whatever. Here you don't see people much. You catch a glimpse of them running in hurry from house to car or car to house. No one stops to say hello. You might get a wave but all in all people seem to be in a hurry. I guess with not having job for quite some time now I have lost that in hurry to get going. I don't miss working expect for the meeting new people part. Albert and I have talked many many times about me getting a job. In the end we decided it best that I stay home for now even though we are having a bit of trouble financially. Well I guess not trouble are getting along ok we just don't have what we use to is all. There is a big difference between living on base and being a home owner. Anyway we are enjoying Louisiana on the whole. It is definitely much warmer here than anyplace we have lived before. We unfortunately don't even get cold enough weather for snow. But after having many many monthes each year in Alaska we are enjoying the heat for the most part. We have learned to do things outside either very early or very late in the day. When we do go out we usually don't stay out for long periods at a time no more than an hour because we get to hot. Little Albert especially he gets so hot and heated up so fast. I have to make sure he gets plenty of water because he doesn't know he needs to drink extra. All in all we like it here. The kids miss family but that's what happens when you are in the military I supose. Some we will live closer home until then we have this wonderful blog page. WE SEND OUR LOVE TO ALL OF YOU!!

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!!

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY COME AGAIN SOME OTHER DAY!
Well it is raining here again. Since we have been getting so much rain we have to stay inside and find things to keep the kids from fighting all the time. Albert has discovered he is good at poll position. If you look closely you can see it on the tv. It is a car racing game for those of you who aren't into video games. He enjoys running into the signs and and blowing up the car. Mostly I think because it makes Sarah laugh loudl each time he does it. But when he tried his best he truelly doesn't do to bad for only being three.
Both of the kids do better than me on the game. Sarah is patiently waiting for her turn in the below picture. They play nicely together most of the time. I am eager for the sun to come out soon though so they can go out and burn off some of that extra energy.

I made them capes from an old bed sheet and they go around most all day with them on. They like to play super animals or something to that effect. They have a house full of things to do and they choose to play a video game and where an old bed sheet. Go figure. They have suce vivid imaginations. It amazes me the things they come up with. They are growing up so fast. Each day they learn something new or show a new sign they are growing up. Albert is doing well with the potty training. He stays dry most all day now. He still wets when he is sleeping. He is terrified to do a number two on the potty. We are getting there though. He does a bit better everyday. Sarah she is just growing like a weed. She is getting so tall. Growing into a little lady she is. (sniff sniff) I keep telling her to quit growing for just a little while and she says she can't help it. I supose that is true. They don't seem to stay small long enough.

Washing Machine

I was on the chair in the living room reading a book. Taking a well deserved rest; when what from the kitchen doest mine ears do hear? But little Albert watching the washing machine go through the rinse cycle and spin. Joined shortly by Sarah and supervised by dad to make sure the kids don't go for a ride. Sorry it doesn't ryhm that well. Funny none the less. Kids are so entertained by the smallest things.

4th of July visitors

Albert made koolaid and thought he needed a taste when he was done. The koolaid turned out well. The past week we have had company. Albert's mom and step dad have been here. We have gone and done a few things while they have been visiting. We went to an alligator zoo place. That was pretty neat. We got to see and touch a little alligator. I had never actually seen or touched a real alligator before that. I have pictures of us at the alligator place but they are on my cellphone because I forgot my camera. So if I ever figure out how to get them on the computer I will post them. We have gotten tons of rain the last week. It has rained everyday for about a week or so. It has been cooler but we still can't go out because of the rain. I am ready for sunshine again. Albert bought some fireworks to do here at the house. We did those before the 4th. Then we went down to the boardwalk to see the big display. It was nice. There wasn't much to do at the boardwalk though I was quite disappointed. I thought more of a carnival type thing with games and such but there wasn't any. Mostly there was shopping stuff. There was a carousel. They rode that and they enjoyed it.
Little Albert is making progress with his potty training but this week with running a lot we haven't been doing so well. At least he is not afraid to go on the potty anymore. I know that he knows what he is suppose to do . Now it is a matter of getting him to the point of gaining control enough to hold it until he gets to the potty. He does very well with the number ones but the number twos he hasn't figured out yet. He runs for the potty but by the time we get him on the potty it is to late.
Thank you to all of you who have complimented on our blog. I am glad that you are all enjoying it. I enjoy making the new posts and knowing that I am keeping you all updated frequently. You continue reading and enjoying and I will continue to post new stuff.
