Those silly boys

Albert came from PT complaining his shoulders hurt and he had a head ache or maybe this was the next day. I can't remember if it was the same day or the day after now. Well anyway he was all whiney sitting on the couch. So I got him a drink of water and some motrin. He drank the water and this is what he did with the motrin. The orange dots on his shoulders and forehead are the motrin. Funny that man is. He did take the pills after the picture was taken. Albert never serious even when he doesn't feel good.
Well now we have the littlest Albert. He is just as funny as his dad though his isn't intentionally funny. When he goes potty he makes himself comfy. I am not sure how he manages to keep his bottom dry. This day I just had to take a picture he had been there for 35 minutes or more. So I don't really blame for sitting back relaxing for being there that long. He is in the process of getting his toilet paper. He takes one square of paper off the roll at a time and neatly stacks it on his leg before wiping with it. He is so funny. He hasn't worn a diaper or pull up for monthes now not even at bedtime.

Golfing

On Monday Albert took little Albert and I golfing with him. Albert really enjoyed 'golfing' with his dad. He wasn't actually allowed to golf on the course but there were not many people golfing and we didn't actually let him play. He just teed off a few times and then he got to put his ball in the hole. He kept trying to drive the golf cart. I had fun driving the golf cart. Anyway here are som pictures and two videos of all that fun.

Well here we have to handsome fellows ready to go golfing.

That's Albert holding his ears because it makes a loud sound when Albert tees off.

Just golfing.

He liked to hold the flag for his Daddy.

Albert's turn to tee off.

Then he gets it in the hole.

Playing at the park.

We have a nice play park down the road a little ways. The kids love it there. They have three different playing areas. That makes it hard to stay with both kids. Albert runs all over the place so I follow him and then Sarah usually follows us. They call the place 'the duck pond'. It isn't actually a pond it's a river that runs behind it but there are some ducks. Mostly there are geese though. I don't feed them because I saw what happens when you bring crackers or whatever to feed them. They come from out of thin air. They appear when you didn't think there were many around. Then they follow you around. We never go to experience this but we saw a lady and a little girl. They ended up leaving because the one goose kept stealing the little hat. Well it just pulled it off her head but it didn't run away with it. So I learned my lesson before we even tried. Good thing I forgot the crackers on the counter. Lesson for life 'Don't feed the geese at the duck pond'.

This thing Albert is on is shaped like a half circle sticking out of the ground. He likes to climb up this side but then gets to scared to turn around and climb down the other side. He will with lots of help but he won't do it by his self.
This is Sarah on the 'pirate ship'.
WEEEEEE!!! The slide is his favorite part of the park.
He also likes to climb up this this. It is one of the ways. to get up to the slide. The sides on the outside look like fish. He likes to climb.
This is another way up to that slide. The fish net looking thing. I saw Sarah sticking her head out smiling at me so I just had to take a picture. She is looking at her the kids she was playing with. They were playing some game. I kept stopping her to take her picture. She was quite the sport. She didn't even get aggrivated at me.
She playing how high can I fly.
Well I was trying to get a good picture of the two kids together but they didn't cooperate.
I wanted to get Albert sitting here too but he was crying because we were leaving. If you look at the left side of the picture walking up the path is Albert. He is carrying little Albert kicking and screaming to the van.

haircuts

Sarah and I got our hair cut today. I found coupons in the paper for Wonder Cuts. Sarah's was $6 and mine was $8. We usually go on base and get it done and it would have cost $12 just for Sarah's. So we got both our hair cut for less than what mine would have cost on base. Sarah and I both got a good bit of hair cut off. It has been a while since we got our haircut. We were letting it grow out. I know I wanted to get mine cut because it is getting hot outside and this way it is cooler. Sarah has been wanting hers cut for a few weeks now. She kept telling me she thought her hair was to long and it was getting in her face. Well anyway we went and got our hair cut. Sarah got about 5 or 6 inches cut from her hair. I got 7 inches or so cut from mine. You should have seen the floor after we were done. It was a pool of hair. Well now anyway both our hair is about shoulder length and looks much healthier.
Little Albert went to his screening for school. I should know by the middle of May if he is going to get a spot for preschool. The teacher that did his screening said that he has to go to something or other to see if he needs to see the speech teacher. If they decide he needs to go then the speech teacher will come and get him from his class. He will be with her for half and hour. I expected him to have to go to speech. He has trouble with many sounds still. I am a little worried about him going to school. I know he hates to sit still. I don't know Albert says I am just being a worry wart mom. I say if I don't worry about my kids who will.
Sarah is doing well in school. She is continuing to improve on her math. She still had problems and is a bit behind but she is getting there. I got her flash cards to practice her basic math facts. That seems to have helped her out some. Her biggest problem in school is that she trys to hurry. She tries to keep up with the faster kids and she gets discouraged when she can't keep up. She has been one of the faster kids up until this year now she is average. She does very well with most things. I think her biggest challenge in school is going to be her math. She does well with everything else. I guess we have that one subject that gives us problems. Or well if you are like me I have a couple.
It is hard to beleive that next school year BOTH my babies are going to be in school. I am not sure what I am going to do my self with no kids at home all day everyday. They sure have grown so fast. It just seems like yesterday I was bringing Sarah home from the hospital and here she is telling the hair dresser lady how she wants her hair cut. They didn't stay babies long enough.

Albert and Albert

Albert has signed over six more years of our lives to US Air Force. He re-enlisted on April 2nd. I know the pictures say April 1 but it's a day behind. It would have been kind of funny to have it on April fools day. Anyway this first picture is Albert swearing his next six years away I mean swearing to abide by blah blah blah. I don't remember what was said actually. This took place at the dining facility where Albert works.
This next picture little Albert took. He took it a moment to soon. I wanted to get Albert shaking hands with the commander but he has happy fingers that like to snap pictures before it's time.
This is how they got Albert to sign the paper. hehe No not really but it's funny none the less. This is the moment the really action takes place. He signing away his life I mean he is signing up for six more years. Albert was so excited to be at work with Daddy. Sarah was at school that's why she isn't in any of the pictures. Anyway Albert didn't leave his Dad's side the whole time we were there. Everything we came to "what's that Daddy"?
This last one is Albert with some of the people he works with. Every one else ran away as soon as he signed the paper.

So now we officially have six more years of being in the Air force now. Almost eight years down and at least six more to go. More than likely we still have 12 years to go yet but we will cross each bridge one at a time.
Well now on to other updates as to what's been happening around the Hunsiker house. Well the day after Easter Little Albert fell and cut his finger. He ended up getting three stitches in his finger. After three hours in the ER he got three little stitches. Well then towards the end of that week he got sick. He had vomiting diarrhea and he had a fever of like 100. 5. Well the doctor told me to bring him if things like that occured whether his finger looked OK or not. Well turns out his finger was fine he picked a virus from the first visit in the ER. Well then of course of who got sick next. Yep Mommy did. Albert didn't eat anything really for about 5 days. I was sick about 4 days. Thank God we are the only ones to get sick. I tired very had to keep Sarah away from Albert and I washed all the blankets and pillows and made sure there was no sharing of cups and so forth. Well my efforts paid off and she didn't get sick. I don't want her to miss anymore school than she has too because she is going to miss the last seven days of school for Albert's brother's wedding. We are all healthy once again though. Albert does still have quite a mark on his finger. oh yeah a three year old with stitches doesn't really work that well. He ended up picking one of his stitches out. It was the day before he was to go get them removed so no big deal really. It was a struggle to keep him from picking them out before that though. He kept telling me that he wanted those silly strings out. After he cut his finger he was very worried about his 'wiggleys' falling out. 'Wiggleys' are um how do I describe it ..... the yucky stuff you see in a really deep cut. That's the best I think to describe it. Anyway he was worried that the insides of his fingers were going to fall out onto the floor. When they put the stitches in they put a board on his chest and tied him down. Well they called the board a skate board or Albert did which ever. Well he now has night mares about skate boards. I didn't go back to the room when they stitched him his dad went. I knew I couldn't handle holding him down or having him tied up. I would have cried and not been helpful at all. But he didn't cut any tendons or anything and no infections. So everything turned alright. So needless to say things have not been dull around here lately. Then there is the problem with Lowes and the door that never seems to get installed. I won't go into details because this post is already extremely long. I do however have advice if you need a new door like we do DO NOT go through Lowes. I suggest Sears because they don't hire contractors to do the work they do it them selves.
ON the bright side of things the weather is beautiful right now a little wet but hey not hot yet. I have a garden. Yes I do and I am very excited. I have wanted a garden since we lived in Delaware. Now I really truly finally am growing my own little garden. I have three tomato plants and a pumpkin plant. The pumpkin plant is for Sarah. She been wanting to grow one for a few years now instead of buy one so we are trying that. It's a small garden but at least I have one now. Well now that this is more of a short story than an update I will stop rattling on about nonsense. I hope to keep this updated more frequently. I will try now that things are a bit more calm.

more easter

Well here are the still pictures I took from Easter. The first few are from the night before Easter. We always dye eggs the night before.

This is Easter morning. This is the kids inspecting the presents the Easter Bunny left for them. Pretty Sarah in her pretty new easter dress.
The kids pretending to like each other for the moment. They were fighting just moments before this picture. Albert being typical Albert wouldn't smile only make silly faces. So this is as close as we get to a nice smile from him. He is sort of smiling only its kind of crocked.
This is Albert finding his first egg.
Sarah finding an egg though not her first one. They were too fast for me to get a picture of them both getting their first one.

Easter finally

Well here is our Easter videos finally. I have decided to put up mostly the videos. I think they are better than the still pictures. I might post the stills later but for now here are the videos. I have a quite a bit to post so keep checking back for updates. I am not going to post everything in one sitting. Now all I am posting is Easter. Anyway we had a good easter. The kids didn't get up to early. We found our Easter baskets. Then we went to church. We did our easter egg hunt after church. I did not get any videos of that. I do have stills that like I said before I will post another day. I do have quite a few videos and it is taking a long time to upload and that is why I am only doing videos this time. Anyway we had a ham dinner Albert cooked so it was wonderful. We have ham in the freezer from that dinner yet. I am going to make ham pot pie eventually.

Well as for what's in the videos. This first one is Albert finding his Easter basket.

This video is of Sarah finding her basket. She had some trouble finding hers. She looked in the washer but for got the dryer so she was convinced for a little while she didn't have a basket.

This next video is of Albert and Daddy playing with something the kids got for easter. I know after you watch this video you will think why in the world would they get something like for the kids. Well I thought they were neat. My sisters kids got them for easter. yeah the kids beat each other with them so I put them up and only get them out when they can be supervised. I actually like to play with them too they are fun really. Just watch out Albert doesn't poke you in the eye.

This last video is just of Albert and Albert after they moved to the living room as I sugested.

The only other thing that happened on Easter day before church is I took the kids outside to ride their new scooters. I decided to get the kids scooters for a couple different reasons. First Sarah needed a new one. Albert (little) broke her handle bars. She uses if quite I bit so the wheels were all messed and well anyway she needed a new one. Then Albert wanted a a two wheel scooter. He kept using Sarah's. We got him a three wheeled one for his 2nd birthday but he quickly out grew that. He can't make it go as fast as the two wheeler. So there's the reasoning behind that. We usualy get the kids somthing for outside play from us for Easter. Then the Easter bunny gets them a movie this year it was the Bee movie and candy in their easter baskets. So anyway there sums up most of our Easter day. Now that I have been sitting here for 45 minutes. I think that's all for today. I hope you enjoy the videos.
