Pregnancy update

Well on Monday I finally got to see the high risk doctor. After a long and drawn out process I finally got to go see him. Everything went as well as can be expected. Andrew is measuring about a week ahead of what he should. So the doctor wants me tested for gestational diabetes. I am not sure when that will happen. But every week for the next 14 weeks (if I stay pregnant that long) I have to go in for a shot. They are giving me a progesterone shot each week. That is supose to help me go father in the pregnancy. They did a sonogram and they found I already have funneling of my cervix. So let me try to explain that a little. When a woman's cervix opens it is sort of pulled up kind of around the uterus. Well mine has basically started to pull up which is why they call it funneling because it looks like a funnel. I still have a good length to my cervix yet though. The doctor is hoping the shot will prevent any more of the funneling for now. I know I don't explain things the best but that's the best I can do.

So all in all I am doing well and so is Andrew. Hopfully we will have a baby that we can bring home when i come home or shortly after anyway. It would be nice to finally have a baby that isn't in the nicu for a long time before it gets to come home. I am not expecting that though with my history it seems I will probably have an early baby I just hope not to early.

We have finally decided what Andrew's middle name will be. Albert and I couldn't decide between Robert and Keith. So I told Albert one day that he had to decide. So he said fine his name can be Andrew Keith. Well he didn't seem to excited so I thought of another way to decide. I wrote each name on a piece of paper. I held one in one hand and one in the other and told Albert to pick one. He took forever to pick but he picked one and he picked are you ready..........

Andrew Keith. He says to me"See I told you that was his name." So there you have it. We finally have a name. Then for short he will be Andy not Drew like I wanted. I got to pick the name so I guess it's only fair Albert picks the nickname.
